June 15, 2021 – EdIncites, the creator of the most seamless and flexible teaching and learning technology platform today announced that the Incite® Teaching and Learning Platform was named a 2021 SIIA CODiE Award finalist in the ‘Best Remote Learning Partner K12/Higher Education’ category. The 37 finalists represent companies, products and people that have gone the extra mile in response to COVID-19 in the Business and Education Technology sectors. Winners will be announced during the CODiE Award Winner announcement celebrations, on June 22 and June 23, 2021.
Acknowledged as the premier awards program for the software and information industries for over 35 years, the SIIA CODiE Awards are produced by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software, education, media and digital content industries.
“This year, these leaders helped our nation respond to the historic pandemic, literally enabling the continuity of our education system and the very survival of businesses, large and small,” said Jeff Joseph, SIIA President. “Congratulations to this year’s finalists for demonstrating the vitality, resilience and importance of business-to-business and education technology.”
The Incite Teaching & Learning Platform brings together the people, tools and resources needed for better educational outcomes. Incite was built using the latest in big data/webscale technologies in order to easily scale to ultra-high load, while supporting high concurrent usage. Created from the ground up as a cohesive system, the interface and functionality is consistent throughout the platform. Users have access to features across various learning management modules on any device. Additionally, advanced technical and security measures ensure the safety of each district’s instance of the software and its data.
“We are thrilled to be a CODiE Award Finalist in this category, particularly in a year in which remote learning technology played such a critical role in student success,” said EdIncites President & COO Steve Campbell. “Teachers and students have faced a myriad of challenges over the last 16 months, and we are honored to have contributed to their ability to adapt instructional modes because of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Jennifer Lawson, Chief Academic Officer with Cobb County School District, commented on the Incite Teaching and Learning Platform: “In August 2020, 113,000 CCSD students began school remotely. [Because of Incite, which CCSD whitelabeled as the Cobb Teaching & Learning System (CTLS)] Students were able to be greeted by teachers in real-time, receive daily synchronous and asynchronous instruction, as a whole class, in small groups or even individually. They were able to access digital resources they needed and engage socially with their peers. In this space, teaching and learning remained accessible to any student, from anywhere on virtually any device.”
The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry’s only peer-reviewed awards program. Finalists were selected by teams of expert judges and represent the most impactful initiatives from software, content, media, financial information and educational technology companies. Their scores determine the SIIA CODiE Award finalists and account for 80% of the overall score. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products. The scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners. Details about each finalist are listed at https://www.siia.net/codie/2021-Finalists. Winners will be announced on June 23rd.
