EdIncites®, the leader in dropout prevention and credit recovery services, announced today the hire of two new marketing leaders to drive recruitment at Acceleration Academies. Lisa Meckley will join as Chief Enrollment Officer and Sarah Campbell will join as Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing, creating a new enrollment division for Acceleration Academies.
Acceleration Academies partners with school districts to re-engage young adults not experiencing success in a traditional high school setting. The nationally-accredited program combines proprietary credit recovery courses delivered through a custom award-winning technology platform to optimize the teaching and learning process. Acceleration Academies combines in-person and virtual options, personalized learning plans and flexible scheduling with social and emotional support, to graduate at-risk or unenrolled high school students.
In her role as Chief Enrollment Officer, Meckley will lead the new enrollment division in driving student enrollment, retention and engagement and elevating the Acceleration Academies brand. She brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic marketing and enrollment management to the organization. Most recently, she served as Senior Director for Strategic Marketing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, leading the University’s brand positioning and marketing strategy.
Sarah Campbell is the first member of the newly formed enrollment team. Serving as Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing, she will support all aspects of student recruitment marketing. She brings 8 years of education marketing experience to Acceleration Academies, spanning strategy, brand management, content creation and video production.
Acceleration Academies co-founder and CEO Dr. Joseph Wise said, “The traditional model of education does not work for all students and the pandemic accentuated that in many ways. Our district partners are reporting unprecedented rates of mental health challenges and other negative impacts in students as a result of COVID-19. The demand for non-traditional options is increasing and we knew it was time to expand our enrollment function,” said Dr. Wise. “Lisa and Sarah have skills and perspectives that will accelerate enrollment, allowing us to serve and impact more students, and I’m thrilled to welcome them to the EdIncites/Acceleration Academies team.”
2021 was a milestone year for Acceleration Academies with record numbers of student enrollment, course completions and graduates and the organization is poised for continued growth in 2022. Acceleration Academies added four new academies to its roster in 2021: Lowcountry (South Carolina), Escambia County (Florida), Ector County (Texas) and Wichita County (Kansas) and is in discussions with additional districts for 2022.
