Butler County Educational Service Center (BCESC) – Ohio

Project Summary:
Education Incites was selected to create a custom software application to support Butler County Educational Service Center’s (BCESC’s) mission to efficiently educate students in the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center and Juvenile Rehabilitation Center. The Student Outcomes & Assessment Records System (SOARS) was created to enable efficient data entry and management, to allow for seamless re-entry for students as they transition back to their home school districts.
Project Goal:
SOARS was created to gather and import data, enable easier reporting, organize students into safe and effective classes, track progress, then support a smooth transition as they integrate back into their local districts. The system will help to streamline processes and increase efficiency for teachers and students alike.
Services Provided:
  • Project strategy, definition of system requirements and proof of concept.
  • Overall project management, support and communications between development staff and BCESC.
  • Software development services associated with the building and implementing of the SOARS application.
  • Building reports to support the education process within the juvenile justice system.
  • Ongoing software maintenance and support.
